Jasper’s ‘Portrayed Ecosystems’ Project is growing bigger and more eclectic. The latest version was showcased at a special event hosted by the Cranbrook Art Institute and the Cranbrook Art Museum. For a group of 500 guests Jasper showcased the work and served an edible version of the work on the side. Other Portrayed ecosystems are being created together with Bio Diversity Center Leiden and Jasper will showcase several works in New York for a selected group of art collectors.
Portrayed Ecosystem are Jaspers way to give hommage to nature. Serving food from nature, telling stories about nature and creating artworks that portrayed the wonders of natures. This specific project is inspired by natural ecosystems. How does nature make it all happen? A precious balance of plants, soil, insects work together to create magic. These works showcase this places. Locations all over the world have been photographed, including historical locations found by Jasper in old Herbariums.
